Tanjung Puting National Park is a
national park located in Central Kalimantan, here there is the world's largest
OrangUtan Conservation with a population estimated at 30,000 up to 40,000
orangutans in national parks and also outside of national parks. In addition
the Tanjung Puting National Park is also a designated Biosphere Reserve in 1977
with a core area of Tanjung Puting National Park covering an area of 415.040 ha
which is set in 1982. Tanjung Puting National Park has some type of ecosystem
that consists of lowland tropical rain forest, the forest of dry land,
freshwater swamp forests, mangrove forests, coastal forests, and secondary
forest.
